Motherhood was never meant to be done alone, especially when you’re doing it far from home.

Mama Meet Up is an ever-growing community of international mothers living in Hamburg,Germany who are looking to find their village, build support, and form genuine friendships while navigating motherhood overseas.

I started Mama Meet Up in 2024, after the birth of my second baby. After experiencing life in Hamburg as an intentional expat following my first baby, I knew that this time I wanted things to be different. I could see just how many international mums were feeling lonely, disconnected, and without the kind of support that truly makes a difference in motherhood.

This community was created to change that.

At the heart of Mama Meet Up is our growing WhatsApp community, which you can join by simply emailing and asking for the link to be added. From there, you’re free to join the sub-groups that feel right for you and your stage of life.

These include:

• Mama chat group for general chat
• Support groups for different needs
• Playdate and meet-up groups in your local area
• Mum meet-ups without the kids
• Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum support
• Pregnancy meet up groups for different due date seasons throughout the year
• And even a Flohmarkt group to buy, sell, and pass on baby and children’s items

We host regular meet-ups throughout the year, including monthly meet-ups designed especially for mums with little ones, so there’s always something to look forward to without the pressure of planning.
